Jessica is originally from the small mountain town of Tijeras, New Mexico. She came to Portland 12 years ago after cutting her teeth in operations and event management in Chicago. This webiste is just a snippet.
She is a strategist, a marketer, and an empathetic doer, but above all, she is an advocate for human-centered design at ever level of the organization.
As a part of Bolt Threads, a pioneer in sustainable biomaterials for consumer products, Jessica managed brand, influencer, and social strategy for Bolt, Best Made Co, and Eighteen B Skincare.
Seeking more diverse experience she moved to Slalom, a professional services & business consulting company focused on the intersection of business, technology, and humanity. Jessica has had the privilege of collaborating closely with senior leaders and large teams of frontline workers across hospitality, manufacturing, financial services, utility field operations, and retail. She has advised senior business leaders to foster innovation, enhance customer satisfaction, and reduce risk by ensuring products and services meet real user needs, both internal and external.
She has an MBA from Portland State University, where she specialized in marketing, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy & Sociology.
Outside of the offices, she is an outdoor-anything enthusiast and sipper of fancy drinks in tiny glasses. She is a Moth Storytelling winner and all around adrenaline junkie. Her favorite adventure buddies are her wife, her daughter, and their two pups.
